Household limit: 8 or 12 for Sims 2 pets? ?

Okay I would like to know if there is a certain number amount between the household members and their pets? For instance, I have 6 people living in a house with 4 cats...thats 10 so if the household limit IS 12, can I have 2 more babies (human) or do I have to have "6" of each kind?

(i.e)- 6 Humans, 6 Pets

Just wondering....

And what happens if I go over the household limit? Do the people die? or do the pets die?

thanks ahead of time! =D

  1. I'm not really sure what the household limit is, but I don't think you can go over it. Look in the manual that came with Sims 2 Pets. It should tell you in there. HIH!

  2. i have never heard of a limit on persons living in your house i have 11 living with me 6 adults 5 children ohh and five cats and a dog my neighbor reported me to the department of human services so they came out they said they didnt see anything wrong as long as the children were safe and healthy they said have a nice day and left.

  3. As far as I know, the limit is 10, with no more than 8 humans. You can't go over the limit. The "try for baby" option is not available. Your pets can't get pregnant. No one can move in. You can get a hack that allows an unlimited number of sims on the lot. You can get it here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.ph...

I play with this hack and it has caused no problems with my game. I have base game, University, and Nightlife installed. My game is really slow, but I also have 70 or so sims on the lot at the moment. I'm working on getting it down to something reasonable, and should be there soon.
