Household mold releases?

Question

I was thinking of testing out some new techniques in customising parts. Rather than make something that matters I'd like to make something silly like a pen holder but with a sandwiched core made out of a secret ingredient..

Anyway, I need to make something out of fibreglass and I don't particularly feel like going 40 miles to buy mold release wax. I just tried some marine hull wax.. no success.

Any suggestions?

Anyone any ideas of fun things to make with fibreglass, a few scraps of carbon and a nice slice of Kevlar (and no teflon coated scissors to cut the Kevlar with) ? Prefferably marine related or at least interesting!

i used wax paper to make mold to fix my boat.

You need a good coat(2-3) of paste wax with carnuba...the stuff in a tub, not a squeese bottle.
