I have a 3 month old son and I am finding it impossible to keep my house clean. I am breastfeeding and formula feeding, have a job that I work 2-3 days a week, and am feeling very overwhelmed. If you have any suggestions please help. Thanks for your time.

  1. I agree with Laura B. Just do your best and enjoy your baby!

  2. If you only have to work 2-3 days a week, you have it made.  How lucky you are.  I worked 40 hour weeks, And

    my house

was not clean as I wanted it......ever...

Sometimes, you have to do the best you can with what you have available...and time is what we all need more of when it comes to cleaning and taking care of kids..

  3. WHAT?   Oh Good Grief........  I had 3 children all under 3 yrs old,  a full time job,  no husband, no bf, as it was MY CHOICE TO BE A SINGLE MOM......   if I can do this, so can you.    JUST DO IT.  Breathe..... & GET CLEANING.........

  4. The suggestion I have, as a mother to a 28 month old, is to lower your standards for the house. The house will still be there to clean in a few years, but that baby is growing and changing so fast! I have days where I still feel overwhelmed, but then I remember what is really important in life, and it's not a sparkling house or folded laundry.

  5. Don't try to do to much and let yourself get overwhelmed. It is hard getting a routine at first. Try putting your baby in his/her swing, play pen, or crib for 30 or 45 minutes while you pick up really quick and do your dishes and then do most of it when baby goes to sleep for the night. But honestly, you're not a superhero, enjoy your new baby, the dishes and laundry will wait for you! Make your husband or parnter do some stuff too if possible!

  6. Hire a maid service to come once a week,  or find a young teenager or a friend who wants to make some extra money (less expensive than a maid service) and pay them to clean once a week. I pay about $30-40 for someone to come once a week, wash all the dishes and clean all the floors and countertops. It is worth every penny in the stress it saves me.

  7. im not going to be rude but try it with twins that are a year old lol thats fun fun fun, soon as i put something away they take it right back out lol. the only time i get to really clean is either when they are asleep at nite or durning nap time. or when a friend has them.

  8. if you have a baby sling put your little man in it after a feeding and vacum, sweep, and mop. fold laundry extra. For other chores do what you can when he happy on the floor, in the swing, or at nap time like grab a baby wipe and dust your front room quickly. You just have to get creative. My hubby and i work diiferent shifts so one of us is home with our 3 year old but for the frist year I worked part time like you are doing. It does get easier when my girl was big enough for a walker I would put her in it and she would just follow me around as i would do chores. Now I have a big girl who likes to help so it will get easier. Good luck and God Bless

  9. hire a cleaning service and then just pick up as you go

  10. Well, I'm still trying to figure this one out and I'm not working. My son is 4 months now, so I'm having to look forward to child proofing too. The only thing I can do at this point is adopt this mantra "make every trip count". In other words, put something back where it belongs every time you go room to room. Good luck!
