Houseplants?

Question

I am looking for a houseplant that is striking. Non-poisonous, and can survive winter. I prefer something that flowers. Any recommendations? It has to be somewhat small because it will be in my windowsill, lol.

go with succulents . they are hard to kill and have amazing flowers when they bloom . i own about 50 different types and each is so different yet so beautiful . you cant go wrong.
