  1. Where did you get this puppy? I bet it was from a puppy mill or back yard breeder, that gives away their dogs way too soon from its mother, just to get money. The puppy HAS to stay with its mom until 8 weeks old at the least! You can not housetrain a puppy that young.

  2. Actually, aside from the opinion from 'Beauty', I have bred small breed dogs that respond well to routine when they are still 6 weeks old. I use the good old method that as soon as they wake - they go to the toilet - as definately as soon as they are finished with their meal they will walk away from the food and toilet.

So after these two routine times, get the puppy straight to the place that you want them to use as a toilet spot. Within a short time, they will be using this spot as their own. Do not clean up this spot after every usage as they will rely on scent to go back to this spot.

This has been successful for me in the past - Hope it helps.

  3. Ther is a product called train um that you can spot in the area where you want her to go. Start putting this on the paper so she gets use to the smell and marks it then gradually take the paper outside.

Scent the area you want her to go outside and you will then have a trained dog.

    Training takes time and patience

It also helps if you feed and walk(when older)/take into the garden at regular times after feeding, about 1.5 hours after, so it becomes a routine for her to go to the toilet. Do not feed food after 7pm as you will get accidents in the house, but make sure water is available.

  4. oh bullshit alot of people get rid of pups at six weeks because sometimes it to much on the mother amongst other things. Don't worry love it will be fine i don't know about the kitchen the back door might be better.

Make sure you remember when your pup eat, sleeps and plays it will most likely need to go straight to the toilet.

  5. yes

  6. Housetraining a puppy at 6 weeks needs a lot of time and patience but the good news is ..it's possible! I got mine at 10 weeks and started researching about housetraining, i found this website www.dogtime.com  HOUSETRAINING 101: 0-3 months

Introduce your puppy to her crate | Set up a playroom | Start housetraining . Hope you find it useful :)

    Best of Luck !

  7. 6 weeks is really young - a puppy's brain can't comprehend potty training really until he/she is 4 months old.  At this point, you're more trained that she is.

Moving the newspaper closer and closer to the front door gradually is an excellent way to get your puppy ready to move outdoors.  She should be ready at about 8-10 weeks to go outside.
