Housing in bankruptcy

I have a weird question. We went to our HOA meeting this week somebody said that we have 3 homes in foreclosure and 5 pending bankruptcies. This are homes in our subdivision.

When an individual files bankruptcy are they forced to sale their home?

  1. Usually no.  If they are behind, they can "start" new with the payments.  Pass payments are put in a repayment.
