I would like to experience a traditional Asian tea ceremony. Do you know of one in the Houston, TX area? If not in Houston then I may try and plan a trip to experience it if there is a really traditional one somewhere in the USA.

  1. There's this Buddhist temple I used to pass in Stafford that does it. It is on West Airport, between the tollway and Murphy.

  2. House of Tea

    1927 Fairview St.

    Houston, TX 77019

They just held a Chado, a Japanese tea ceremony, in March.  Call to find out when the next one will be.

  3. I can't say for sure if there is a specialized shop that does an authentic Japanese tea ceremony but "The Path of Tea" located at 2340 W Alabama St, Houston 77099 may be able to refer you. The number is Phone: (713) 252-4473. They have a really wide selection of Japanese green teas and such. The owner is nice and actually holds private and educational tea tastings. Hope this helps :)

  4. I will second the answer: House of Te is your place to be.
