I love this mexican style chicken and rice soup made at Houston's. I have searched online for a copycat recipe, but haven't found one. Can anyone help me out?

  1. The other answer is completely wrong. I was a chef for houston's in atlanta and other recipe is not even close. I do not work for them anymore but I can tell you if there are nay ex-houston's chefs out there you will not get the recipe. Sorry. Try writing to their corporate office. They might give you the recipe.

  2. Ingredients:

2 lbs boneless chicken b*****s, skin removed, cut into 1-inch pieces

4 to 5 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes

1 (approx. 16 oz) jar mild salsa

1 (4 oz) can diced green chile peppers

1 (1 1/4 oz) envelope taco seasoning mix

1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

    Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. Serve with warm flour tortillas
