Houston Astros beat Colorado Rockies 3-2 - MLB Update

Houston Astros staged a comeback on Sunday, April 05, to beat the Colorado Rockies 3-2. Brian Bogusevic, who remained instrumental for the Astros throughout the game, drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning to bring about the victory for the Astros.
This was the first series win for the Astros, coming at a time when it was needed the most. The Astros were simply the resurgent ones here after they lost the first game by 5-3. In the second game, they – however, came back with 7-3 win, and scored a victory in the third by 3-2.
Houston Astros, among others, had Bud Norris to rely upon who had seven strong innings to allow only two runs. While Colorado Rockies’ starter Juan Nicasio was not the weakling here, with seven innings pitched – allowing only a run, it was Rex Brothers who gave up two runs in his inning that turned the tides for the Astros.
Jose Altuve, who had three at-bats scored two runs with two hits to his credit while Brian Bixler scored a run to do the winning bid for the Astros.
The Rockies manager had his views to share on the game. In his view, it was the inability of the offence that resulted in what the Rockies eventually had to see and reconcile with.
"Because of our inability to do anything offensively than the one swing Wilin Rosario took, we put ourselves in a position where any little mistake that gets made is going to get magnified, and potentially cost us the game," Colorado manager Jim Tracy said. "And that's exactly what happened."
But it was the Houston Astros manager who seemed jubilant by the team’s performance in a crucial game. "We're talking about three games -- winning two of them (but) moving forward, I think they know and we know that they can do it," Mills said.
With the victory that came the Astros way on Sunday, the team has made it clear that it will be a tough side to compete with in this season, making the league ever more interesting to follow.
