Houston Astros crush Milwaukee Brewers 8-3 – MLB Recap
The Houston Astros crushed the Milwaukee Brewers 8-3 in the first game of their two-match regular series on Wednesday, May 15 at Minute Maid Park, Houston, Texas in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
Astros starting pitcher Bud Norris played brilliantly and kept his promise to manager Brad Mills of being consistent in this MLB season.
Norris pitched for seven innings and received four hits along with one run, one earned run while striking out nine Brewers’ batters.
"He came in saying he wanted to have a different year this year and I think with the way he's gone about his business and gone about how he's pitched has been along those lines, There's no reason to think that's going to change as he continues to put together
good outing after good outing." Brad Mills said for Norris’s performance.
Later Norris also spoke to the media and told reporters, "I'm growing up and I guess I'm getting a little older and a little wiser, Each offseason, I'm going to try to make strides in the right direction and I've got a lot of people around me helping."
The Astros from start to finish never gave any big loop holes to the Brewers batters and eventually won the game ending the four-match losing streak.
The Astros shortstop Jed Lowrie helped his team to take the early lead into second while their rest of the starting lineup carried the offence further and took the game away in style.
Brewers’ starter Randy Wolf stayed on the mound and proved real disaster for his team. He gave seven crucial runs to Houston who eventually pushed them towards bitter humiliation.
In the meanwhile, there is one more game remaining between the Astros and the Brewers which will decide who got the upper hand.
The Astros with this particular win, improved their fifth position in National League Central division with .432 winning percentage while their 16-21 win loss record also coming along nicely.
On the other hand, the Brewers are also holding the same position in the National League Central however; the overall score difference is giving them slight advantage over the Astros.
