Houston Dynamo are scheduled to face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Los-Angeles-Galaxy-c39818 in the MLS Cup final after defeating Sporting Kansas City 2-0 at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park on Sunday, November 6. The final is scheduled at The Home Depot Center on November 20.
Although the Dynamo are in rich form, their main concern is the HDC, home ground for Los Galacticos.
“They’re a very good team and they haven’t lost there all year,” said Houston head coach Dominic Kinnear. “The Home Depot Center is their home, so we have a lot to overcome to win this game.”
At first glance, the final game looks to be a mismatch between the two MLS giants. The Galaxy have been unbeaten at home in the whole 2011 season, whereas the Orange failed to register a single win in their first 15 away games.
However, late in September, the Texas-based outfit came back to their best form, especially in away outings. They remained undefeated in their last six road fixtures, leading to a promising position in play-offs.
The team defeated two best Eastern Conference teams on their respective home turfs in the play-offs. First they notched a 2-1 win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philadelphia-Union-c40231 at PPL Park in the first leg of the conference semi-final and then defeated Sporting 2-0 in the final.
A clean sheet against the Wizards in the conference finale would surely have boosted their confidence ahead of the MLS Cup match.
Die Oranje boast Brad Davis’ talent in set-piece situations, Brian Ching’s finishing touch in the final third and Geoff Cameron’s skill-set in the centre-back position.
On the other hand, Los Galacticos have the strongest line-up contending for the silverware.
Midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 is known for his playmaking skills and his mastery from set-pieces.
Irish import http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robbie-Keane-c31215 has proved that he is the most feared hit man in the league after scoring two goals in four matches. Keane joined LA Galaxy in August but due to international schedule, he could only play four MLS games.
The Dynamo are undoubtedly in dominating run of form of late but they have to pinpoint the key Galaxy players to nullify. The MLS Cup final will certainly be their ultimate test on road in the current season.
