Houston Galveston refinery jobs... need to find?

I'm writing for my husband. He is wanting to change careers and work for one of the refineries in the Houston/Galveston area. He is wondering if any one out there can direct him as to the best way to find an opening and actually get hired.

He is older, 49 and had a collage degree (in marketing... not very useful for refinery work!) but he has an extremely steady work history and for the past six years has owned his own business. Unfortunately photography is very low on the needs list for most families with the cost of living. He just wants to be able to provide for his family. He is a very hard worker and has not missed a day of work in 20 years except when our daughter was born.

Any direction would appreciated.

Everyone is hiring right now!  Most refineries hire through the Texas Workforce Center, I would start there.  If he is looking for a salary (office) job, I would go directly to the company website.  Google Dupont, Chevron, etc.

I know in Port Arthur (1 1/2 from Houston) Motiva is building the biggest refinery in the world!  They are hiring tons of people!

There is also a lot of work in Freeport.  Dow is here, and BASF, Phillips is in Sweeney.  Lots of job openings!  Go to the websites.
