Houston Rockets 107 – Charlotte Bobcats 87
Coming into the game on the back of a sensational 4th quarter win over the league leading Oklahoma City Thunder, the Houston Rockets were hardly troubled by the Charlotte Bobcats tonight.
Luis Scola pounded a game high 23 points, including 14 in the third quarter, while Goran Dragic posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 dimes as the Rockets imposed a 107-87 decision on the Bobcats.
The Rockets carried their momentum from last night and raced to a 26-12 advantage inside the first 10 minutes of the game. An 8-0 run early in the second pushed the lead to 38-20, but the Bobcats bounced back with a 16-3 run, capped
by a three point play from Reggie Williams to pull within five, 36-41.
Courtney Lee dropped a three point bomb and Drajic followed with a deuce to stretch the lead into double figures again and the Rockets maintained it till the break, 50-40. The Rockets then erupted with a 16-6 at the start of the
third quarter and never looked back after that.
Derrick Brown led the Bobcats with 15 points and four steals, while Gerald Henderson recorded 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Detroit Pistons 124 – Sacramento Kings 112
Rodney Stuckey hammered a game-high 35 points on a 10-for-18 shooting from the floor; Tayshaun Prince drilled 28 points and handed out seven assists, while Greg Monroe posted 32-points and hauled down 11-rebounds as the Detroit
Pistons came back from a 16 point deficit early in the game to out gun the Sacramento Kings 124-112.
The Piston were leading by 21-20 late in the first quarter before the Kings sprinted to a 23-6 run to take 43-27 lead inside the first three minutes of the second frame. The Kings however forgot to make stops after that and after
getting outscored 25-10 in the last 6:01 of the first half, they allowed the Pistons a 40-23 third.
Detroit started the fourth quarter with a 97-81 advantage in hand and were never threatened afterwards.
Jason Thompson finished the night with 21 points and 15 rebounds for the Kings, who also got 23 points from Tyreke Evans.
