Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub sets ambitious hopes for season return – NFL News
Houston Texan quarterback Matt Schaub has set ambitious hopes for his return to the game of football in the current season despite of his admission that his injured foot did not look promising for the timely recovery.
Schaub had hurt himself last Sunday in their game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which they won 37-9. He, according to the tests performed on him has suffered Lisfranc joint in his right foot. It was being already concerned that
he was out for the remaining regular season of the premier American football league, National Football League (NFL).
The player during his appearance on the radio KILT-AM said his foot did not look good but had set hopes that he would make a return before end of this season. The NFL current season has reached 11th week. However, he
said he would see doctor over the next week that would determine his fate for the remaining season.
Matt Schaub said that he initially did not know that how bad his injury was, and that its severity was only determined after the tests. He said it occurred when his foot was caught underneath Bucs defence tackle Albert Haynesworth
on a sneak.
"When you look at it, it's pretty colourful and everything," Schaub said. "It's pretty sore and beat up right now. But we're going to search out some other opinions and just do as much as we can to get it right here in the near
future to see what can happen."
Meanwhile Texans coach Gary Kubiak did not confirm if Matt was out for this season due to his injury.
"Everything I'm being told is we're still evaluating the injury," Kubiak told reporters on Tuesday. "That's going to go on for probably about a week, and then at some point next week, we'll know whether he has a chance to come
back or he doesn't."
Kubaik said that the fate of Schaub would be determined over the next week after he sees the doctor. In case he needed a surgery he then might be out for whole season, he added.
He however added that Schaub was certainly out for their next game against Jacksonville Jaguar in week 12.
