Okay, be realistic, none of this 4-12 c**p, we all know they aren't going to do that bad, but I am looking at an 11-5 record either. Honestly, how do you think Houston will do this year against any of the teams. I'll share my imput. Any thoughts about Houston either, surprises that might come, breakout players, comments? Note, they went 6-2 at home last year, and they played most of the season with much of a defense that was injured, and Matt and Johnson on the bench for half the year, and still managed to pull out 8-8.

Week 1 @ Pittsburgh (L)

Week 2- Baltimore (W)

Week 3 @ Tennessee (L)

Week 4 @Jacksonville (L)

Week 5 - Indianapolis (W)

Week 6 - Miami (W)

Week 7 - Detroit (W)

Week 9 @ Minnesota (L)

Week 10 - Cincinnati (W)

Week 11 @ Indianapolis (L)

Week 12 @ Cleveland (W)

Week 13 - Jacksonville (W)

Week 14 @ Green Bay (W)

Week 15 - Tennessee (W)

Week 16 @ Oakland (W)

Week 17 - Chicago (W)

Okay, I have 11-5, but they could go down to 8-8 easy with injuires or just dumb mistakes. This is me being optimistic, but in reality, I do see them going 9-7, but if they are on a streak, 11-5.

  1. you have them beating Indy?? Idk about that one.

  2. You have them losing to the Vikings, and beating the Colts. Huh?

I honestly have no idea how good the texans will do. maybe 9-7 who knows.

  3. Sorry dude, dont see them beating Indy in the first match up, better chances in the second.

Other than that solid 11-5 season, and a first round postseason exit, big jump from last season, if you know what I mean.

  4. This year the Texans are looking pretty solid, i think your about right on your predictions, if they stay healthy in their prominent positions, yea, i say 11-5, but in their division that may still keep them out of the playoffs. Sorry.

  5. Beating Indy AND Jacksonville?  not gonna happen.  One of them, if not both will sweep Houston.

    7-9 at best

The only away game I can see Houston winning is against Oakland.  I don't see Houston beating Indianapolis at home.  In the Houston Texan's entire history they've only beaten Indianapolis once and that was with Indy having half their team out injured.  I don't think Houston could knock of Jacksonville at home either.  Tennessee is a possibility that Houston could knock them off at home.

I optimistically see them at 7-9 or 8-8 this season.  This season the AFC South is playing the NFC North.  The NFC North is always very tough at home.  The thing is Houston has all the tough NFC North games as away games.

  9. I think 10-6 is really doable and first round playoffs.  I think if the Texans show up against the Pittsburgh and win the opener then all bets are off.  Real questions have arisen if Kubiak was pulling a rope-a-dope with the poor defensive showing in the Preseason to lull Pittsburgh into a sense of inevitability which then leads to complacence on their part and a loss.   Bob Allen of Channel 13 backed off 9-7 prediction to 8-8 because of the preseason.  There some newscasters who seem to forget what preseason is for is not the working out of your stars but the ones who are trying to make the team.  Most think first 5 will be 1-4 even you have them at 2-3, but if they pull off a 3-2 then all bets are off.
