Houston Texans stay stubborn atop as teams move two-way on leagues power rankings – NFL News
With other teams' position fluctuating two ways on the National Football League (NFL)’s standings chart, the Houston Texans have maintained top position for third consecutive week, thanks to their superb form that has helped them walk over all oppositions
conveniently.
The New England Patriots are the team who have moved up consistently for last couple of weeks but still well behind the Texans’ who have successfully remained atop the All Pro32 league’s standings.
So far the Texans have lost only a single game in the season and have shown top-class form and performance throughout, which is rather surprise of the season from a side that has played the second round of the league only once in the history.
It was the historical triumph by the Texans in the 2011 season that they won the American Football Conference (AFC) South division title and were through to playoffs, both for the first time.
This year they showed up on the field as Super Bowl contenders and since then never looked back. They are well within the contentions for Super Bowl game with the excellent record of 10-1 so far in the season. With their divisional competitors well behind
them, they appear definite winners of the division title once again. Also, the playoffs are well within their reach now.
Even a pair of more wins will add up to their tally points to 13, which will certainly help them qualify for the second phase of the season and the way they have performed so far, it seems Super Bowl title game is not impossible for them to reach.
It is the unique characteristic of their offensive and defensive strategies that have toppled all the teams in their way so far. They have conveniently beaten teams like the Denver Broncos, and according to coach Gary Kubiak, his players are brimming with
confidence and a sense of maturity, which makes them a difficult side to win over.
A notion that the Texans were rather a young team and can get carried away with the wins hype anytime in the season has proven to be a wrong assumption because with every game the team is growing in confidence and maturity.
