The President of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Houston-Dynamo-c39542 revealed that they were carrying out meetings with Stoke City to discuss the subject of defender, Geoff Cameron’s move away from the American outfit.
The Potters have reportedly made an overture for the American International, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tony-c35440 Pulis looks to bolster his rearguard ahead of their new campaign.
However, the system of transferring players from the club works differently in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390. Instead of reaching to an agreement with Houston, Stoke will have to finalize the transfer fee and the terms of agreement with the Major League Soccer, which holds the
rights to all the players featuring in the league.
According to reports, currently a deadlock prevails between MLS and Stoke over Cameron’s transfer fee. The latter has offered to pay 1 million dollars for the defender, while the former is adamant on accepting nothing short of 3 million dollars for the move
to transpire.
Nevertheless, the Dynamo president, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Canetti unearthed that talks were still underway between the two sides, and a final decision is expected to be taken by Monday. Even though both the MLS and Stoke were apparently holding on to their respective positions,
he was optimistic that they will be able to sort out their differences and the player will move to the Premier League.
While talking to reporters, he said: “I think (Monday is) a key day in determining whether or not the transfer is going to happen or not. We had a positive weekend where there were good discussions and both sides kind of understood what it's going to take
to make a deal happen.”
The 27-year old visited http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/DC-United-c38901 on Sunday.
With his one eye set on making a switch to the Premier League, Cameron hinted that his outing on the weekend could turn out to be his last in an orange shirt.
“It was a great way to end it here, especially if it was my last game. Can't thank the Dynamo fans enough. They were amazing and always are.”
