  1. Ugo's on I-10. Fairly casual, but not exactly "ratty t-shirt and shorts" casual. Really good menu, decent wine selection.

  2. Carabbas Italian Grill is a good bet, authentic Italian food...casual, friendly, but not quiet.

  3. Well there is one in Galveston can't remember the name, right as soon as you get over the causeway down about 4 blocks it's great.

  4. I'm going to second Frenchy's near NASA.  It's might be a drive for you, but it's worth it.  Very good, and very quaint.  It's one of those places that you either love or hate though.  It has mixed review on b4-u-eat.com.

  5. Antonio's - La Porte , Deer Park, and Baytown don't know what area you are in, but this place is great, casual and inexpensive. I love it. Try it - it may be worth the drive if you are a distance away. There might be one in other parts of Houston - I am not sure.

  6. Luigi's on Jones Rd. It's family owned, and good Italian

    recipes, and nice atmosphere.

  7. Try the Italian resteraunt

  8. French'y is a nice Italian restraurant, if your not looking to drive to Galveston, the best in Galveston would be Clary's as you enter galveston,or Luigi's on the Strand.

  9. Try the Olive Garden, Carabbas, Lasagna House, or the Spaghetti Warehouse

  10. Frency's (yes, I know, but it's Italian) on NASA Road 1 near the space center.  It's just the place for you.

On the west side on town, there's Carmelo's on Memorial.  It's a little more upscale than Frency's, but the food is great and it's not a noisy chain restaurant.  Enjoy!
