Houwei Tian topples Sattawat Pongnairat in Men’s Singles first round at Li Ning China Open 2012
China’s upcoming player Houwei Tian showed a tremendous performance on court as he stamped his supremacy in the arena and won the Men’s Singles first round encounter against USA’s Sattawat Pongnairat at Li Ning China Open 2012 in Shanghai, on Wednesday,
November 14.
The in-form Houwei, who has been putting up wonderful show of top class badminton in recent tournaments, delivered a superb performance and managed to show exit to Sattawat in just 39 minutes.
Chinese player positively responded to his home supporters as he played with impressive variations and managed to end up the match in straight games with a remarkable margin on score board.
In the meanwhile, Sattawat could not put up strong show as he failed to stay focused on the arena and remained struggling all the way. He committed many unforced errors and lost the match without snatching any set.
The in-form Houwei delivered extremely in opening rallies of first set as he played with phenomenal speed and did not waste any time in controlling the affairs.
Houwei was comfortable in taking a reasonable lead on score board as he did not face any trouble from his opponent.

After the interval, the confused Sattawat could not play positive badminton as he lost his focus in the arena and remained struggling to find a good flow.
The lofty Houwei did not reduce his speed at any stage and comfortably clinched the first set with a superb 21-16 difference on the board.
In the second game, Houwei showed great urgency in the arena as he played attacking badminton and remained successful in winning a striking lead until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute break, Sattawat tried to get closer but failed to create any trouble for his in-form rival who was on a different level.
Houwei played aggressive badminton and eventually wrapped up the second game with a stunning 21-10 score on the board.
The incredible Chinese shuttler won this Men’s Singles contest in 39 minutes with a dominating margin of 21-16 and 21-10.
