Hover craft help?

Ok so i am in fownding tech in shool and i need to meake a hover craft go farther so wat i did was i atached a little permeller and a moter to it. but ends up that the perpeller is to big dous any one have any ideas about how to get the perpeller to fit so it still works that wont rilly change the mass of it. and plz dont say cut some of the perpeller off... THX!!!
