Hovex Jaz to waltz his way in the RP Greyhound TV 460 Standard – DUP at Henlow
The RP Greyhound TV 460 Standard – DUP is to be raced on Thursday, 1st March at Henlow over 460 metres flat. Six hounds will break out to race through the distance for £150 prize money.
Hovex Jaz, Droopys Kewell’s four-year-old black son out of b***h Perfectly Bred, penetrated into the new season on 20th January at Henlow. He won the 277 metres race by clocking the distance in 17.40 seconds and leading by four and a half lengths.
Royal Inquest settled closest to the winner.
The lucky dog’s next start was also a win. He took 16.81 seconds to race through the 277 metres distance and took the lead by 2 ¼ lengths. However, the amount of wins could not go on to three, qualifying him for a hat trick because he ended third in the
third attempt of the season.
Hovex Jaz was entered as a 11/8 favourite in the February Dash on 2nd February and he lost against Dunham Smokey, who covered the 277 metres track in 16.89 seconds.
Right after that, he struck a pair of second positions on his record. On 9th February, Hovex Jaz was sent as an evening’s favourite but could only manage a second position in the D1 277 metres flat race. He covered the distance in 16.96 seconds
while the winner, Drovers Eclipse made it through the wire in 16.88 seconds.
Eventually Hovex Jaz’s third victory of the season came his way on 23rd February in the Bedford Road Standard – DUP at Henlow over 460 metres. Hovex Jaz was on the other side of the wire in 27.94 seconds, leading by 1 ¾ lengths while the 7/4 favourite
of the race, Westmead Apollo took 28.08 seconds to conclude the race.
Today will be Hovex Jaz’s seventh race of the new season and a chance to strike fourth victory of 2012.
The three-year-old blue dog Balmi Blue, very recently posted a win and that also through his seasonal debut. He won a 460 metres race at Henlow on 23rd February by clocking the distance in 27.88 seconds and leading by ¾ of a length. He will be
racing his second start of the season and if he is successful as before or not, will unveil soon.
