How, besides the yellow pages, can I find out if an attorney is still practicing?

  1. State Bar Association may have listing online.

  3. Call your state's Bar Association.

  4. Your state Bar Association should have a listing.  Go to your states web site and search for the Bar Association and then within that search for his name.  If he is still practicing in your state, his name will appear.

  6. Each state bar association that I have found has a website that lets you look up a lawyer by name or by bar number.
