How 2 get travel insurance 4 flight from London 2 Sydney when Oz insurance has run out & im not a UK resident?

I have been in the UK for the past 5 months travelling but put off my flight one month to do some Euro travel. My original travel insurance ran out when I extended my flight and now i'm stuck in insurance oblivion. My Australian insurer won't cover me because my trip has already commenced and UK insurer's don't want to know anyone who is not a UK resident.

So the question goes- how do I do the responsible thing and insure myself for my flight home?

PS help needed quickly as i'm flying tomorrow night
