  1. Both cost more money than I can afford.  So neither are of any use to me.

  2. I love fast cars. I wouldn't drive either of these boy racers. I might have when I was much younger, like 18 or 20.

  3. Hard choice, Chevy messed up using a supercharger on the ZR1 and the Ford GT isn't my favorite car thanks to cargo room.

  4. The ZR1 will stomp the GT.  The GT is out of production so GM had a few years to beat it and everything else on the road.  Its about $50k cheaper.  Its got almost 100 more hp too.

  5. The new Zr1 willl be the fastest production car that GM has ever built, especially with that 6.2L beast under the hood..620 BHP wowzers!!

The Gt has a 5.4L v8 that puts out around 700BHP.. ive loved both these cars so much!!

Id take a GT over the Vette..

MR engine placement is my bread and butter, and its more of a classic!

I mean to be driving a GT40, the lineage behind it...wow

  6. ZR1

  7. Thats kind of hard to compare as Chevy is just now coming out with that car and the GT hasnt been made since 06'.

If you want to compare equals compare the ZR1 against the GT500 Super Snake 720hp

But in terms of style Id take a Ford GT

In terms of road race capability id take the Ford GT

in terms of rareness the Ford GT

IN terms of being just another Vette owner id sa the ZR1

Now the ZR1 is a nice car but it is way overpriced for being a VETTE

the Ford GT will hold its value much better than the ZR1 as well

the Ford GT is currently selling for the same price they were purhased for when they were new if not more.

Thats hard to say about any newer car

    ZR1

$103,300.00  before mark ups of $30-50k

    Ford GT

$139,995.00 before mark ups of $20-30k

    ZR1   6.2L

    638 hp  @6500

    604 tq   @3800

    weight   3324

    GT  5.4L

    550 hp  @6500

    500 tq   @3750

    weight   3485

  8. I don't really think Ford had the ZR1 in mind when they made the GT since the GT is a lot heavier and is way out of its price range. It is more of a revival retro thing from their classic GT40 than a true competitor. Although, it is fast as h**l and makes a lot of good noise. I've seen them in real life and I'd take one over ZR1 any day just for how unique and bad-*** it looks compared to the ZR1. I bet it's louder too because Chevy usually tries to tone down most of its engine noise which I think gives it a way more meaner sound.
