How did you know when to register your child for school?

We don't get any notifications. I found out online on the school's website but not everyone has a newspaper or internet.

  1. at the school where i work we send out fliers to let the parents know that is time to register their children.

  2. I call the school and asked them, it's different for each one.

  3. Calling the elementary before the end of the school year always works. My school system has registration in April of the year they'd start school.

Flyers from the school don't help if you don't have another child in the school system.

  4. It was all done automatically for me, I received information from the council about when to start looking and how the process worked and info on schools in the area.

  5. It's just something you know ? ... you take them a few weeks before school starts ... like when do the kids in your area go back ? mid August or early September ? .. you take them a few weeks before, nothing to figure out.

  6. Well, I just knew my son would need to start school the following year so I called and asked and then went to pick up registration forms.
