How'd you like that earthquake last night?

My dog started barking a few minutes before it started, but I always let her out at about the same time, so I thought it was just her needing to pee. I got back in bed and boy howdy did it throw me for a loop! I didn't know what was going on. Where were you?

I woke up to my house shaking a bit and things on the counters rattling.  At first, I though a big semi was passing the house.  Then heard about the quake on Channel 2 news this morning.

We felt it here in Freeport, IL.  Also in Mt Caroll & Galena, IL.  I was in bed sleeping at the time.

bernie & i were watching TV (actually a taped Rachael Ray) i need to go back & get that receipe!!

then what we thought was a huge gust of wind, because the stuff near the window starting rattling

then the apt building started shaking, & the sofa was bouncin & i turned to him & said i think we're having a Earthquake, he was in the rocker, so he didn't feel it, i knew it wasn't the RAPTURE, because i wasn't moving upward LOL

there was an earthquake here 102 yrs ago within a half a hour of this one on this date!! Crazy

Yeah about 3 hrs. ago. We shook here pretty good in KY. I was in the kitchen making coffee. Sounded like a train was going through my backyard!

I live in centralia,il. and my 10yr. old son and I both got woke up by the earthquake early this morning.I was asleep on the couch and woke up to my house and myself shaking,then my son came running into the living room scared.My first thought was earthquake,but then I thought that I was just loosing my mind,I have never felt an earthquake before and it's not like they happen around here all the time...I thought no way that could have been an earthquake...I was kind of freaked out,then I got a phone call from a friend who was also woke by it...thats when I realized that it was an earthquake.My 2 youngest boys and my boyfriend slept right through it.

it looks like there is a series of earthquakes going on in the Midwest,  since there was one early this morning, and another about an hour ago.

yes my husband and I felt it.  we live in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  It was around like 5:40 or something.  It was weird because I've never felt an Earthquake before.  You always here of it happening but you never really feel it.  They're always low on the Richter scale if there are plates moving.  My husband and I both woke straight up out of bed and were like, "What the h**l is that?"  He swore that our horrible neighbor was having crazy s*x, but I said it was a quake and he thought I was crazy until we saw the news this morning.

That's really interesting that your dog knew that something was coming.  Animals can sense things before we do!

I was sitting at my desk at work (Indiana) and my chair began to sway with me in it!
