I am making a trip to Brisbane in late November to early december this year. Am thinking of travelling on budget, and some of the accomodation I have seen are non-aircondition. Just like to find out if the summer night temperatures there are bearable? Also, would like to know if it rains often during that time in the year. Thank you.

  1. Summer nights can be pretty hot and humid - but December and January are the worst times for that.  November will be warm but the nights should still be ok.  If the accommodation has fans you should be fine.  Also, stay away from the west (out towards ipswich)  The closer you are to the coast the nicer the wheather is cause you get good sea breezes.

Rain isn't common in Brissy (especially recently... even though it is actually raining as I write!)

  2. hot & humid with a afternoon/evening thunder storm they last about 1 to 2 hours a/c would be good but a celing fan will do

  3. It may depend on exactly what part of Brisbane, and where you are coming from.

When I first arrived in QLD, and that was a December, it was way to hot for me, coming from a freezing UK.  There was no way I could have survived without Air Con.

However, many years later, after living in Sydney, and then moving to Brisbane Bayside with its summer breezes, Air Con is nice at times, but not essential.  But, there are parts of Brisbane that I would not want to be in, due to the heat they get.
