How's College?

How is it...is it hard??? do you struggle??? im going to college this fall..and pretty nervouss...about all the classes i need to take for my majorr...seems hard..idk how was it for yu?

okay, so i just finished my first yr, going in i wasn't scared of living there or anything, but i was scared about the classes are you are, but you know what, you get used to it, and it's not too bad, when i went it i was scared, but now i'm used to it, you'll be fine, it's like how scared you were going from jr. high to high school (but more scarey cuz this is bigger, but still the same concept), just remember, if other ppl did it, so can you :) also college is fun, you'll enjoy it, hope you have a great college experience :)

study a little "everyday" and you'll be fine. procrastinate and you are screwed.

it's way different from high school. lots of note taking, most classes give out syllabuses. never procrastinate, students do all-nighters just to complete a paper or study for a test, even a quiz.

most professors have different teaching approaches, and it takes a while to adjust to it. but once you get used to the academic life of college, you'll do fine.

I think everyone's experience is different.  College is definitely more work than high school academically. You will find that even if you never had to study to do well in high school, that will likely change in college.  It also depends on where you're going, I went to community college for two years and that was far less competitive than UCLA, which is where I am now.  The cool thing about college is not having to wake up early 5 days a week, and all the personal independence you gain.

You shouldn't be too nervous about it, it will likely be a great experience, and if you live on campus or get involved in campus groups you'll meet a lot of cool people.  I'm not sure what you're majoring in, but just remember that you can always change it.  The average college student today changes their major twice.   And most importantly, good luck!  I'm sure you'll do fine. :)
