How's the Suzuki SV3650 for a Beginners Bike?

I've been looking for a good beginners bike. I have now experience on a sport bike but I do have some experience on dirt bikes. I heard that the Suzuki SV650 was a good beginners bike because of its low-mid power range. What do you think?

  1. This is a very good bike for beginners, eventhough for experience ones too. This is my first bike, I have 14,000 miles on it now, still love this bike. This is more upright riding position compare to SV650s. Around 52 mpg. Highly recommend. Good luck.

  2. That bike is commonly used out on the race track but it would make a pretty good starter bike and my recommendation would be to buy a used one on cycletrader.com or another for sale website vs buying one from a dealer. If you want a more sporty model get the SV650S.

  3. I have a SV 650 as my first bike.  It is great.  Good around town and out on the highways and back roads.  I have even done 350+ mile days on it.  The only mod I would suggest is to invest in the gel seat Suzuki offers or get an after market seat.  The stock one leaves something to be desired.  Then again maybe I just have a sensitive backside.
