For a homemade hand crafted Stuffed Animal

Its gonna be a present. And well should i cut several pieces??

Or should i just do large pieces and sew others on top for like the White Belly. And stuff?

OR any tips?

and im not gonna buy one. I think its more valuable when someone makes it for another person :)

  2. I'm certainly no stuffed-animal-making expert, but I would say that you should cut several pieces instead of sewing pieces on top.  It would look better put-together, and make it seem probably like your penguin's not *actually* wearing a suit. :)

    I would say -

1 large piece for the head & neck.

    2 pieces for the beak

2 pieces for the eyes (unless you're using beads or something similar)

1 piece for the stomach area

1 piece for the rest of the body

4 pieces (left & right, front & back) for the wings

4 pieces (same) for the feet

...And then you can sew anything else on top (accessories, etc.)

I'm probably forgetting something, but you get the idea.

  3. Hi i think that you should make it with lots of little pieces for a small child because they like to play with all the different parts... a larger cut would probably be for a child over 6

    well i hope this helps...
