My hubby and i would be visiting Rome, Florence and Venice from 28 Sept - 7 Oct. Then flying to Paris til 11 Oct. So wondering how the weather will be like? When does Autumn season starts? I heard summer is late in coming this year. We are actually hoping from some nice chilly weather (without rain!), since we're from a country that's right smack on the equator.

  1. It will be OK, the weather will probably not be chilly , not too warm either (you may need some jackets and blouses, of course), but there can be rain around that time. Not all the time, though.

  2. you get a perfect weather on 28 Sept-7 Oct. Autumn starts in November.

  3. Venice Florence and Rome have continental weather.

That is when in Naples is hot there is h**l and when in Naples is cold there is North Pole.

From September to june Naples Ischia Capri Sorrento Ravello and all Cost of Amalfi are the branch of Paradise on earth... but this is just a suggestion... don't warry

  4. I spent a weekend in Florence in late November several years ago.

Wonderful weather. Not hot at all - seems like I wore long or medium length sleeves on my TShirt weight shirts and jeans or chinos.  Maybe a light windbreaker in my backpack - in case...

My main memories though are how I felt like I had stepped right into my old Art History text!!!

Take a bus ride - I found the bus system interesting.

  5. Absolutely perfect. Upper 70's low 80's. Summer's are brutally hot. If you go to Pompeii it might be warmer. You'll love Paris, but after being in Italy, you'll wish you had stayed. The history, culture, food, the friendly people and of course the scenery is the best. I've been to Italy on 5 vacations and I love it more and more every time. On your next trip go to the Amalfi Coast.

    A buono vacanza!

  6. Hi!

Don't worry, end of Sept.-Oct never coincides with summer, however late it arrives. The temperature should be mild, but not hot. It may either be sunny or rainy, that depends on your luck.

  7. it is said that it'll be pretty hot in here like 40 degrees. d**n!

  8. Good weather in Rome and Florence, bad weather in Venice.

But Venice is the most beautiful one.

  9. Rome is a year-round city, and you can really visit at any  time of year. The weather is more comfortable in September when most days will be warm but not unbearably so, and less humid, though you'll still find the city busy during these times. October , is quieter and the weather can still be clement - making this in many ways the ideal time to come. (September 22.4 C - October 17.7 C) <*-*>

  10. Funny-I laughed when you wrote "can someone please confirm this" in regards to the weather conditions. You know that weather is not predictable at all. It is Mother Nature's terrirory and she does as she wills when she wills. But whatever arises, being in Italy is a joy, so enjoy!
