  1. No keep Steve Smith...If Delhomme can stay healthy then Smith can be a top-5 WR again...and the guy before me nailed it, White and Berrian don't have good QB's throwing them the ball...and you'd have to drop 3 players to make room...if I was you, I wouldn't do it.

  2. I wouldn't do it because you receiver core is better than all of those guys except for javon walker.

  3. Well, we can't evaluate this trade until we know who you will drop.

It's great that he's giving you a pile of players, but you'll have to drop two or three to make the deal and he can pick them back up.

Steve Smith is very injury prone, but he's offering quantity not quality.  Holmes is a #2, Berrian has a crummy QB, Roddy White has a rookie QB, and Ahman Green is ancient.

Dropping players adds to the cost of the deal...

  4. nooooooooo way ahman green is terrible. santonio holmes doesnt hav consistant games. bernaird barrian is on the redskins(JASON CAMPBELL SUCKS). and whos roddy white(sarcasm).

  5. do it

  6. Your "friend" is smart when it comes to wanting S.Smith.  He will have a huge come-back year.  Delhomme is back and Hackett will take double teams off him.  If and only if your team is really weak at WR would I do this trade.  Say your WRs were something like: S.Smith, Stallworth and Mason then I would do the trade.

  7. you're going to have to drop 3 - 4 players.

the trade sucks on all counts.

who's throwin to white?  to berrian?

you call this guy a friend?

  8. no, you'll have to release a few guys and i dont like green at all.

  9. i think that is a good trade. holmes should put up numbers close to smith this year and in white and berrian you have some wild cards for big years. ahman green would make a great third running back. i say do it.

  10. Hmm. I would actually do that deal. Roddy White caught 83 passes for 1202 yards and six touchdowns last year.

    Holmes went for 52-942-8.

Berrian, who is with the Vikings, not the Redskins, went 71-951-5.

Smith caught 87 for 1002 yards and seven touchdowns.

Now, I'm not saying that these guys are as good as Smith, but it does show that they are skilled players - better, I would say than at least J. Walker and D. Williams off of your current roster. Ahman Green isn't great, but you could probably flip him to someone else in trade.

Also, Smith can be injury-prone. And while he has had several "solid" seasons, most of them have been in the realm of what he did last year. The only amazing season he had was in 2005.

The biggest downside to this as I see it is Roddy White has a rookie QB throwing to him and Berrian has Tarvaris Jackson. But Holmes should improve his numbers this year as Hines Ward is aging and if either of White or Berrian have a good year anywhere near what they did last year you come out ahead.

    Just my opinion.
