Why would the Nuggets trade a star player for two overpaid players(Randolph and Jeffries), both who still have 3 years left on their contract?

Iverson's contract expires after this year.  I doubt the Nuggets would extend their contract misery.  Theres a reason why they traded Camby, so they can free up cap room and not cap room for Zach Randolph and Jerred Jeffries.

denver gets frontline players, but they don't get the frontline players they need. a big guy who rebounds and plays defense. randolph scores and rebounds well but he's lazy on defense. jeffries play good defense but's he's more of a SF. david lee is purely a hustle player and can't guard bigger player one-on-one.

That would be a terrible trade for both the Nuggets and the Knicks. The Nuggets will be losing their best player and the Knicks will be getting another  player who wants the ball in his hands. I really don't think Iverson will want to be there

thats a pretty godo trade for both teams but allen isnt the guy to run the d'antoni offense because hes a scorer that could work out very well if they change their style of play
