It gives another post player in Randolph to help out Dwight Howard and take some of the rebounding pressure off him. Knicks get rid of Randolph's contract and get a very talented player in Turkoglu.

  1. As a Magic fan I think this trade would benefit us a lot, since Turkoglu is a shooter and we already have too many of those.Battie has never really done much for the team either.Randolph isnt worth that much money in my book but it would make us tougher.

    Nelson

    Howard

    Lewis

    Randolph

    Scary good!

  2. this has to be the worst trade i have ever seen.

  3. It looks like a good trade for both teams in some ways but probably wouldn't happen for a couple:

Though New York does make cap space, it hurts them too

New York is losing its best and most sell-able player in David Lee. By losing Randolph and Lee, they're left with freaking Eddy Curry as their big man. Even Randolph is better than Curry and is a much better scorer, and David is a solid double double dude whereas Curry is a worse turnover machine than Randolph. I think trading them for Hedo would hurt them more than it would help, plus I doubt LeBron will go to the NYK anyways, he'll probably go to the Nets

For the Magic, getting Randolph would help a great frontline but I'm not sure if having 2 turnover-prone big men would be too fun. Plus with Hedo and Rashard Lewis on the wings, it helps spread teams defenses opening up Dwight down low.

Regardless of the Magic wanting to do it, NYK gets the butt end of it

  4. awesome trade for the magic. although they give away some intense chemistry. in return they will grab every rebound

  5. Randolph is exactly what D'Antoni needs, a strong PF, that can easily get quicker and more offensive with D'Antoni's guidance.

I really don't see how this trade benefits the Knicks.

Randolph is too young to be traded for Turkoglu (33).

You make a good point, Jeremy, I'd just like to add in that I like Randolph's scoring ability. Last year, when the Knicks acquired Randolph, I thought it would improve the Knicks. That probably is because of the points you said.

  6. its not bad but i dont think it would happen, i jus dont see the knicks givin up lee

  7. great for the knicks future good for magic now

  8. Awsome trade for the Magic. But getting Turkoglu wouldn't be that great for the NYK because he only has a few good years left in him. But if they wanted to clear ALOT of cap room then that might be the best thing to do.

  9. very good trade but NYK doesn't want to give up Randolph since Dantoni is there and the Magic dont want to give up Turkoglu

  10. I don't think the magic would give away Hedo
