Need to understand how youth respond to 3rd places with Mead's symbolic interactionism

  1. when someone interacts with others, they will sooner or later know their worth and station.  they may know in this instant that they cant win but can try and tried they did and got 3rd place.  so there maybe acceptance and agreement tt they hv done their best.  or they train & improve their timing etc.  

    or some of us may decide tt we'll never be #1, therefore dont bother to participate and this will affect our performance and attitude to life


  2. Do you perhaps mean Third Space, rather than third place? If I am not mistaken, 3rd place means you were third best, while Thirdspace is a social science theory espoused by Soja and others. Look for Soja's 1996 book Thirdspace: Journeys to Los Angeles and Other Real-and Imagined Places.
