  1. Oh did I miss something is the Mayor of LA running for VP?

  2. Chicago has been nominated for the worse nanny-state for regulating people's behaviors.  I would certainly considering moving to Alaska where there is more emphasis on personal liberty before moving to city that embraces a meddling government.

  3. Alaska has a budget surplus unlike the cities you mentioned.Since you are talking about Executive experience.

  4. It doesn't.

  5. Obviously it's different, but the important thing to note is that neither Obama, Biden, or even McCain have any executive experience similar to that of a governor position.

  6. There's no comparison; it's applies and oranges.

Mayors and university presidents do not run executive branches of a state.

They don't command the state military.

    They don't manage state budgets.

They don't deal with the foreign affairs involved with Homeland Security on the state level.

They do not influence national policy decisions that concern their state.

  7. There's people all over Alaska, and most places aren't just a simple "drive" away.

She governs from Juneau, which isn't exactly a bikeride away from Anchorage (the most densely populated area)

They don't say it's tougher in AK for nothing.
