How Are Panasonic Plasma Televisions?

i was looking at a 42" 720p with 480hz and a contrast rate of 1,000,000:1, it was like $900. is this a good deal. also, how is the quality of these sets. thanks

I don't know what the myth of the "LCD is better" thought, but Plasma technology provides a much better picture and the sets last longer than an LCD with all the improvements that have come out.  Panasonic makes the best Plasma's and actually own the company that developed the technology.  Plus, in the rare case that something breaks down on your TV, Panasonic has a goal to fix it in a few days from you calling in to customer care, so be sure to register it.  That is an awesome TV that you are looking at, and an amazing price.  I would definitely take it.
