How Can I Add Movies To My Ipod????????????????????

I have windows movie maker and i have resently made a really good movie. I want to be able to download it onto itunes so i can then load to my ipod. But Movie Maker doesnt use the right format. Does anyone know of a FREE, SAFE conversion site so i can convert my movies to itunes format? I also have VISTA so it would have to be compatible.
