Hi, I've recently being searching for a job in admin within London, but apparently I'm too inexperienced. I'm in part time education, hence am looking for something to enhance my skills in-between my studies. I've being out of work a while that also seems to cause a problem. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas where I could get started in my search?

Thanks

  1. Once you have skill and experience, job will get you, you don't have to get job. It is difficult to find job for everyone. Once you gain experience then success ladder is in front of you provided you have thrill to progress

  2. look for some london employment agencies and post your aplication off to lots of companies.

    good luck :)

  3. Register as a temp with a suitable agency. They will be better placed to 'massage' your CV to get you in for the interviews and then it's all down to you. Going in as a temp is a lot less fraught with the potential downfalls of going in to a permanent position if you don't have the experience. The expectations are lower, and if you don't like the job you can walk away. And it's in the agencies interest to get you out working.

    Don't turn anything down, the more experience you get, the more in demand you will become and the more experience you can add to your CV the better. If there are any training courses available, take them!

    If you get on well it is likely you may be offered a permanent position. That's what happened to me and I started off in the post room and am now a manager.

    Try some of these companies;

    You may also want to look at rewriting your CV to best show your skills. Monster offers a good online service which is available here. Don't be afraid to highlight your strong points, but don't exaggerate either as you will come unstuck in any interviews.

    Good luck!
