How Can I Get Portable internet?

I am thinking of buying a laptop but i want a internet that i don't have to plug in. IS there a chip or a usb that i can attach to my computer and have internet where ever i go?

Almost every laptop today has integrated wifi card or a wifi card installed already.

Call Verizonwireless.... My husband drives truck and has internet through verizon, and can get service in the Mojave desert....lol. It works great!

I'm not sure about which ISP offers it, but most offer a satellite internet service, using a pci network card with an antenna on it. it costs a fair bit more than regular internet though,

another even more expensive option, (use if you dont plan to use the internet very often) is to plug your phone into the computer, which can be used as a wireless modem.

If you have a cell phone go to your network provider and ask if they have a card for mobile internet, I've also heard of a modem that connects to the internet through a regular power outlet so look for one of those maybe.
