How Can I Help Fight Piverty?

Can I give food to people on the streen?

Will they be offended? Sometmies, I have extra. I am not hunry but they are. Will they eat?

first off don't mind the other people on here. I understand what you are saying even though it's spelt wrong it doesn't take much effort to figure out what your saying if anyone even remotely cared! to use their brains!

I tried that once i thought this lady was homeless - she refused...

The best way to help out is to give time and or money to soup kitchens!

They homeless don't have many options at all if you started a program where people would give food or a work to feed program.

one like homless get's an hour of work at the local fast food joint like cleaning the outside grounds empty the trash!  cleaning the bathrooms and dinning area!  they should get like a card that you card that they could use for food!

i mean come on!

Not sure where the streen is?  

I look at it like this, if someone is not too proud to ask for money, they shouldn't be too proud to accept food, even if they are left-overs.  I would have to be dangerously hungry before I started begging strangers.

I don't think we have a piverty problem.  Maybe a problem with the hornless but no piverty problem.

Helping others is a noble cause. Therefore I will take this question seriously.

Rather than walking up to a stranger and offering them part of your lunch, you would be better off learning more about how poverty is being addressed in your community. Your church/synagogue/mosque is an excellent place to start; for charity is integral to all three major faiths. I’m sure your skills and enthusiasm can be put to excellent use through your house of worship.
