  1. Frame up an area with 2x4's that is 6" bigger than the foot print of the shed in all directions. Drive some 2x2" stakes into the ground around the outside edge of your 2x4" framework and level the frame work by securing the stakes to framework with 3" drywall screws. When the frame work is level in all directions, call the concrete company and tell them the dimensions of the frame work and how deep it is at its deepest point and they will calculate yardage and quote you a price.  Have the concrete delivered and hopefully the chute will reach your framework, otherwise you will need to use a wheelbarrow and carry it from truck to framework.  Scrape the concrete level using a 2x4 resting on the framework from one side to the other... bullfloat it smooth with a bullfloat (concrete company will rent you this if yo ask) and let dry.  Concrete work is best done with two or three good helpers. Good luck.

  2. Concrete direct on sod is a bad idea.

Best to dig down about 6".

Lay a level bed of sand or gravel before you

frame up for the pour. Tamp it down and rake

it even and level. Tamp again.

The concrete should be a minimum of 4" thick,

    6" is better.
