I'm going into high school and chose cross country as a sport. I own a tread mill which i go on like once a week. I have a lot of thigh muscles and i'm pretty long but i know cross country is more about stamina and i want to know how to increase mine.

  1. Start running about 15-20 miles a week. After each week increase your mileage by 5 miles each week. Two weeks is tough to get in shape but this should help more than once a week.

Glad to see you will be joining a great sport!

  2. run every single day for a good 20 minutes. Also running hills can help you increase your stanima. good luck! cross country is so much fun!

  3. well first of all if all you've is run on a tredmill then ur really gonna be shocked in two weeks becuz u run trails and lots of em and also its really about how far u can go not how fast u can run. if u can 4 miles without stoping ur pretty much good. and as u go u get faster and faster so keep running but be prepared for some hard work outs trust me its not all about running its gonna take hard work a dedication. good luck:)
