How Can I Save Money While Getting a New Sink w/ Counter?

I'm looking at kitchen sinks and then I have to buy the pipes. I don't know how I get from that to the other. How much should the installation cost me? I also want a small counter top to put the sink in it.

  1. Your confusing me.  Why would you buy a sink without a countertop.  If you buy a sink first and then a counter top second, I'm afraid I don't understand your question.

Labor-If you have plumber come out to your house they will charge a bundle to come out and look at it.  Had an air condition guy come out to the house and it cost $100 and he didn't anything.  So look for spending a ton of money.  Please get your question straight.

  2. Sounds like you might not have a lot of tools or practice....but you can buy preformed counter tops that already have sink cut outs in them.....or you can make the cut-out yourself. You could buy a junk of plastic laminate and some contact cement and do it yourself.............What your going to do is a nice fun project........but the real truth is with out some good toos you might walk into some problems...........find yourself an old carpenter...he can help you and you can help him and both will have a good time.........if he's a nice guy he's not going to take advantage of you. Anytime you get in kitchens and bathrooms......it's never cheap.

  3. can I ask you a question. Why when it comes to a persons house do they want to always be cheap. A house is the most expensive thing you have ever bought and yet when it comes to fixing it people go cheap?? just curious

  4. I really don't want to sound rude at all but IF you do not know the process then its time to hire someone that does. Just from reading your post I gather that this is not something you have the knowledge to do yourself

This is why they have professionals whether it be a contractor or a designer

You will be much better off in the long run

going cheap is not necessarily the way to go
