I have dial-up, and I can't afford any routers or anything of the sort. So how can I have two computers online at the same time without getting two phone lines?

  1. You can't use a router (dial-up modems are serial, not ethernet), so the best you can do is connect one computer to the modem and the second computer to the first computer with an ethernet crossover cable.  Then, on the computer connected to the modem, set u Internet Connection Sharing.  (It's part of Windows.)

  2. U can't...U need a router...but good news, u can pick 1 up from e-bay for under $20.
