What Can I Do?

  1. Drink A lot of Coffee.

    Dont drink energy drinks there really bad for you.

    other wise go to a gas station and get those 5 hour energy shots.

    they dont taste that bad and there healthy and you stay awake!.

    it will get you pumped. and watch a movie with the lights on and sit on the floor. that way you wont feel comfertable enough to sleep.  

  4. You could try this: when ever you get tired go splash some or a lot of cold cold water on your face, i've heard it help! ;)

  5. DON'T lay down, sit or stand up.

    flick water at yourself every so often.

    and DON'T do something time consuming because it'll put you into a trance, making you tired.

    watch tv, sitting up or something.

    and go into the fresh air, sit on your doorstep or something.

  7. Dont stay still for long, Keep your mind occupied. TV and the compter and make your eyes tired after  a while so be careful. Exercise is a good way to gain energy.

    Try calling a friend long distance and have the charges sent to them… it always makes for an upbeat conversation.

    Take a hair curler and heat it up and lightly tap your wrists.  Don’t burn them!  Just tap lightly… it works!

    Re-arrange your bedroom.

    See how many times you can have your questions deleted from Yahoo answers… my fav!

    ha or try taking a quick shower.  Those always wake me up.  Computer games are also great ways to keep yourself awake.  I've stayed up like an extra 4 hours because I got really into a game haha

  19. Run, sing, dance, get your heart rate up.  Be-warned, after you have done what you needed to do, you will be dead.  The body sleeps for a reason and it's actually quite unhealthy! Take care of your body and it will take care of you!

    btw i deside to stay till night and i do that all time

    here's my tips

    1- don't drink coffee until 7:00am

    2- try to watch action or unrated movies looool

    3-do anything u love .. just feel the silence of night

    4-play soft-pop music ..not hi volume and rock ones because u had to save some energy

    5-go to chat rooms that really takes too long time and keep u intrested

    6-try to download anything u like .. arrange ur myspace or facebook..whatever

    i can brief all tht in 2 points

    1-enjoy your time

  21. Coffee, stay on computer and just mess on it and do stuff. dont go to a comfy chair or couch where temptation could catch you.

  24. Why?  I don't understand... in any case, I'd like to give you some brief background on the importance of sleep (perhaps that will change your mind about interrupting such an important body function for whatever reasons you have):

    As medicine and  science doesn't know or understand the brain by far less than other organs or systems, we know for sure that sleep, the resting phase of the brain, is essential for survival.  Then the body needs this rest, the brain introduces special hormones that will make you 'go to sleep'.  Then you interfere with this process via artificial means (most notably stimulants such as coffee and other substances), you're essentially interrupting this process (these 'sleep' hormones also initiate growth in children and younger people).  

    An increase in 'energy' such as Serotonin, Dopamine, glucose, O2 etc. will keep the brain more active and prevent it from sleeping - up to a certain point.  The body will "crash" at some point, since the brain starts malfunctioning.  

    There are many ways to stay awake (as you have received suggestions to your questions), I'd recommend to take a cat-nap rather than trying to stay awake entirely, that will give your brain at least a little 'fighting chance'.  Good luck!

  26. Are you at a place where you have to act sane?

    If so, I guess banging your head against the wall and screaming "HURRAY!" is out of the question.

    Try turning some lights on, and standing up for most of the time... that might help.  The lights might fool your brain into thinking it's daylight, and standing always helps me stay awake.

  30. sit in an uncomfortable chair. keeps me awake. loud music? think about alot of things. write, draw, read, talk to an out of the country relative (it should be daytime in their country if u're lucky) take pictures... that's all i got. good luck! oh btw, an apple is supposed to be refreshing and have enough energizers to equal a cup of coffee! plus it's healthy ;-) eat plenty of those. scientists say it's healthier to eat one of those when u wake up rather than having coffee. it wakes u up just as much. who knowes, myabe more?
