O.K. about a week ago I went to get a LG Voyager and the salesperson told me there was a $400 deposit, which I didn't want to pay. So I figured that I could just buy a cheap phone from Verizon with the plan I wanted and then i could buy a Voyager cheap on eBay and switch them, so I was wondering how I would go about switching them?

I have heard that you can just bring them to the Verizon store or switch them on the Verizon website, but how?

  1. Go to Verizonwireless.com and choose your account under my verizon, whether it be prepay or personal. Put in all your information to login, and choose support, phones and plans. In this section it should give you an option to How do I activate my phone?

Your phone may be activated online through My Verizon. Once you get to that point, you have to have all the information off the back of your phone you are currently using and off the phone in which you are wanting to use. it will explain what you need, and if go online to do this, you can use the backup assistant that will transfer all your phone numbers you currently have on your phone to your new phone and it won't cost you a penny. It is free as long as you do it online. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will comply.

Sign In to My Verizon. Not registered? Register for My Verizon.

Select Account Maintenance from the top menu bar.

    Click Activate Phone.

Follow the online directions to activate new equipment or existing equipment.
