How Can I find the closest beach?

I live right outside of Macon, GA and I want to find the closest beach to me, whether it be in GA or FL.

Anyone know a website that tells you about the beach too?

Take 16 straight to Savannah Georgia.    A few miles north of Savannah is  Hilton Head island.   If I lived where you live, one of the Hilton Head beaches would be my beach of choice.

Using the above guys example of the pan handle (i picked panama city on the pan handle of fla).   It is 274 miles from Macon Ga.      Savannah, GA  is 164 miles from Macon.

Look at a map and pick out the beaches that look closest to you and then type the nearest towns to the beach in on Mapquest.  The travel and milage times are pretty right on and that should give you which is closer.  After you do that, just google the beach and you'll have all the info you need.  I will tell you, the Florida panhandle area is beautiful, white beaches and beautiful weather.
