  1. try practicing in a bath tub, because u would be relaxed and you couldnt dround

  2. Keep your eyes closed and try to think about anything but the fact that you are holding your breath. Try adding 10 seconds every time and practice a lot.

  3. To hold you breath for longer you have to get rid of the dead air space in your trachea (breathing pipe), just breath very deeply before the breath hold, then the dead carbon dioxide won't enter your lungs, but the fresh oxygen will. ultimately giving you more oxygen; which means you can hold your breath for longer!

    Good Luck!!!

PS.-  I do highly aggree about the shalow water blackout. It's when you're under the surface and you come up, and as your lungs expand (due to releasing pressure) the last bits of oxyegn are taken from your blood stream and pushed into your lungs giving the rest of your body the least amount of oxygen possible; and you simply black-out. This would not happen in your bath tub though - more like 1 m downwards, although you  CAN DROW IN YOUR BATH TUB, it is very un-common, but people have died.

  4. Practice, both static and dynamic breathholds (moving and staying still). Learn the correct techniques for training your breathhold, you can read much about it at deeperblue.net Always make sure you are accompanied by somebody who knows what they're doing when you are practicing, especially when in water. People HAVE died before just from holding their breath in the bathtub or in a pool, from a phenomenon called shallow water blackout.

  5. You just need to practice, adding a few seconds at a time. Stay calm and relaxed. If you start to feel stressed, stop for the day and pick it up again later.

  6. you should practice and when u are practicing keep calm and think of a happy place?? ;S

  7. depends how far you're willing to take it.
