How can i make a my own search engine for scratch?

And not just customizing Google Or Yahoo etc. (MY OWN)

I had a basic search engine script that I got from hotscripts.com afew months back, I edited it and developed it until I had my own search engine much like Google but the engine used tags rather than content to search.

Try getting an open source script and developing it thats what I say
